What is Know Your Customer?

Legal process to verify your identity

Updated over 5 months ago

As part of our legal obligations, we must verify your identity and confirm that you are over 18 years of age. This process is known as Know Your Customer (KYC).

Users must input basic details about themselves during this process and then upload:

  1. A copy of a government-issued photo ID (front and back, depending on the document type):
This can be a passport, driver’s license, or national ID card. The copy must clearly show your photo, full name, date of birth, and document details. If the document has important information on both sides, please upload images of both the front and back.

  2. A selfie holding the ID document:
To verify that the ID belongs to you, you need to take a clear photo of yourself holding the ID next to your face. This helps prevent identity fraud by matching your face to the ID photo.

  3. Proof of address:
This is a document showing your current residential address, such as a recent bank statement or utility bill. It must include your full name and be dated within the last 3 months to be accepted.

To ensure we complete the process as quickly as possible, please respond to any information requests we send to you by return.
